About Tinder Consulting

The way in which people relate to themselves and each other has an impact on how they perform, at work and in their daily lives. Tinder Consulting works with clients to help them become clearer about how they think, feel and behave and to update previously made decisions, enabling them to perform more effectively.

Our Philosophy

Our Philosophy

Our approach to supporting people through change is grounded in Transactional Analysis. Early in life we make the best decisions we can about how to get on in the world around us. We then carry these decisions on into the rest of our lives; this is referred to as our script and is the blueprint for how we live and work. However, as adults, these decisions may no longer be the most appropriate or effective. By becoming aware of how these decisions of the past can lead to limiting behaviours in the present, we can choose to make a redecision. These new decisions are based on an objective awareness of what is most helpful in our current situation.

Transactional Analysis states that everyone has the capacity to change; the people we work with recognise this and are prepared to let go of ingrained assumptions. All interactions with our clients are carried out on a contractual basis. We agree with you what we will do together and then work with you to realise that objective as rapidly as you are able to. We treat people respectfully and non-judgementally and, as Members of BACP, we are bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy (where practitioners undertake research) and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force.
